Regulation 44 Visits/
Independent Visits

In line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Regulation 44 Visits carried out by Changing Outcomes are designed to examine the extent to which the children’s home is effectively safeguarding their young people and promoting their well-being.

Opening a Children’s
Residential Home

Whilst incredibly rewarding, setting up and running a residential children’s home can be a time consuming and costly endeavour, so we strongly advise getting expert advice right from the outset.

Mock Ofsted Inspections

Ofsted inspect all Registered Children’s Homes in line with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF, 2017). The Ofsted approach is underpinned by the following 3 principles that apply to all social care inspections:

Ofsted Registration Refusal
and Compliance Notices

If you have received a notice of proposal to refuse your registration with Ofsted, you should be aware that a cancellation will likely disqualify you from future involvement in children’s homes. As such, it can be prudent to apply to withdraw your application and resubmit at a later stage when all outlined concerns have been addressed.

Clinical Safeguarding Supervision for Registered Managers
and Care Staff

Clinical Safeguarding Supervision provides support to staff with any safeguarding and child protection concerns they may have and makes sure that child-centred activities are delivered safely. Effective Clinical Safeguarding Supervision reduces risk to children and young people while identifying their needs.
